About Talia

  • Many couples come to me saying things feel good when life is calm, but in moments of conflict or disconnection, they are unsure how to find their way back to each other. Beneath the surface, there is a strong desire for love and security, alongside patterns of misunderstanding and emotional distance.

I often see couples caught in cycles where they either feel like they’re carrying more of the relationship or they feel they can never be enough.

I understand these experiences through an attachment and nervous system lens. When couples feel disconnected, their nervous system tends to move towards protection rather than connection.

In our work together, I help couples slow these cycles down, understand what is happening beneath the surface, and reconnect in a more intentional way. I offer insight, practical tools, and work to challenge clients so that you can move back to closeness.

My work with couples also includes:

    • Premarital Counseling

    • Affair & Infidelity Recovery

    • LGBTQIA+ Couples

    • Rebuilding Intimacy + Sexual Connection

    • Discernment Counseling

  • My work with individuals focuses on helping you move out of cycles of self-doubt, shame, and emotional overwhelm.

I support clients in slowing down these internal experiences so they can better understand whats happening beneath self-judgement and reactivity. From an attachment and nervous system lens, many of these patterns make sense as protective responses rather than personal flaws.

In our work together, I focus on helping you make decisions that feel more aligned with your values and well-being. This can include building healthier boundaries, gaining clarity on whether certain relationships or systems in your life are supporting you or causing you harm, and developing the self confidence to make changes when something no longer fits.

Our work is about creating more self compassion so you can move through life with more clarity, steadiness, and intention.

  • I am deeply passionate about Sex Therapy, because intimacy often brings our most vulnerable attachment patterns to the surface. In these moments, people can learn a great deal about themselves. My goal is to create a space where these experiences can be explored with curiosity and compassion, rather than shame and self-doubt, so that you can access more pleasure and presence in your intimate experiences.

Approach

My approach to therapy is rooted in the belief that meaningful change begins with exploring what is happening internally. Many of our emotional reactions are shaped by attachment fears, past experiences, and nervous system responses that are often outside of our awareness. In our work together, I help clients slow down so they can better understand their emotions and how their emotions are working to serve them.

I use Emotion Focused Therapy, which helps deepen emotional awareness and create more security in relationships, while also using Gottman based tools to provide you with practical tools. This combination allows us to work both emotionally and behaviorally so insight can translate into real change.

My role is both supportive and gently challenging. I offer structure and guidance while also valuing your lived experience. I see therapy as a collaborative process where we make sense of your patterns together, rather than something I impose from the outside.
